Join our team
St. Louis Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery is a growing, physician-led dermatology practice providing medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator who enjoys helping people and being part of a team.
Our front desk team plays an important role in the patient experience. You are the first person a patient speaks with and the first face they see when they arrive. We are looking for someone who can make patients feel welcome while helping keep a busy clinic organized and running smoothly.
About the role
Think of the front desk as the air traffic control of the practice.
You will help coordinate patients, appointments, providers, phone calls, and day-to-day clinic needs while working closely with our medical assistants, providers, scheduling team, and billing team.

What you’ll do
Patient experience & check-in/check-out
- Welcome patients with a warm, professional, and friendly attitude
- Check patients in and out
- Verify demographics and insurance information
- Collect co-pays, balances, and payments
- Answer phones and assist with patient questions
- Return messages and route clinical questions to the appropriate team member
- Help create an excellent patient experience from arrival through checkout
Scheduling & patient coordination
- Schedule medical, surgical, and cosmetic appointments
- Confirm appointments and assist with schedule changes
- Help manage cancellations, openings, and waitlists
- Communicate with patients regarding appointment instructions and scheduling needs
- Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and the scheduling team to keep the clinic running smoothly
Administrative & office support
- Scan and upload documents
- Manage forms, records, referrals, and patient requests
- Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record
- Assist with day-to-day office needs
- Participate in practice projects and process improvements as we continue to grow
What we’re looking for
Required
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role such as a medical office, hospitality, retail, customer service, or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuinely kind, professional, and patient-focused demeanor
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new technology
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment

Preferred
- Previous experience in a medical, dermatology, dental, or specialty practice
- Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR)

About the locums assignment
We are flexible on exact dates and the assignment length and can tailor the schedule to a mutual fit.
- Schedule: typically 2–5 days per week (Mon–Fri, daytime hours only)
- Settings: outpatient dermatology clinics in St. Louis and Troy, MO
- Support: dedicated MAs, strong front-desk team, and organized leadership
- Scope: general dermatology (acne, rashes, psoriasis, skin checks, etc.); excisions (malignant and benign); option to incorporate cosmetics based on your comfort and interest

We’re a busy, growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practice in Troy, MO, and we’re looking for Full and Part Time Medical Assistants who are equal parts kind, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with dermatology experience (or a strong interest in dermatology) to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity.
The role (full-time or part-time)
We’re hiring for:
- Full-Time PA / NP — 4–5 days per week
- Part-Time PA / NP — 1–3 days per week, flexible schedule
You’ll work closely with our dermatologists and be supported by experienced MAs and administrative staff. Depending on your experience and interests, your practice can include:
- General dermatology: acne, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, skin checks, etc.
- Procedural dermatology: biopsies, cryotherapy, ED&C, and other minor procedures (based on training and comfort)
- Acute visits: urgent derm complaints and follow-ups
What you’ll do
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based dermatologic care to a diverse patient population
- Perform skin exams, biopsies, and common office-based procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans for common dermatologic conditions
- Educate patients clearly about diagnoses, treatments, and skincare routines
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Help maintain a calm, organized clinic environment that supports great patient experiences

Practice Manager [ACCEPTING RESUMES]*
- Lead day-to-day operations for STL Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery
- Ensure consistently excellent patient experiences
- Oversee: front desk operations, clinical operations, HR/people management, revenue cycle, and key vendors and technology
- Collaborate closely with the Practice Administrator and department leads (Front Desk, Clinical, Billing)
- Supported by a Virtual Assistant for recurring tasks and analytics
- Full-time role, 5 days per week
- Includes one work-from-home day
- Requires regular travel between two St. Louis–area locations
- Ideal for a hands-on healthcare leader who enjoys people, systems, and problem-solving
What you’ll do
- Lead day-to-day practice operations across 1–2 locations
- Ensure our teams deliver smooth, kind, high-quality patient experiences
- Run meetings and quarterly check-ins to maintain communication and accountability
- Oversee HR functions: onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, payroll, and retention
- Partner with billing and the front desk to support revenue cycle performance and financial goals
- Serve as HIPAA/OSHA/EEO officer and ensure regulatory compliance (CMS, HITECH, MIPS/MACRA)
- Support EMR and tech platforms (Phreesia, Gusto, Elise AI) and drive adoption of improvements
- Develop and refine SOPs to standardize and scale operations
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional healthcare management training a plus
- 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in a medical practice
- Strong operational problem-solving and process improvement skills
- Solid understanding of medical practice operations, compliance, and revenue cycle
- Organized, self-motivated, calm under pressure, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Proficiency with EMR, HR platforms (Gusto), and Microsoft Office/Google
