Cosmetic Surgery Procedures
Every procedure below is performed by Dr. Beal in our accredited surgical facility in Troy, and every consultation starts with an honest assessment of whether surgery serves your goals at all.
Facelift
Restores the jawline and softens jowls by lifting the deeper supporting tissue of the face, not just the skin. Both SMAS and deep plane approaches, matched to your anatomy.
Neck Lift
Tightens loose neck skin, smooths vertical banding, and restores the angle between jaw and neck, platysmaplasty or deep plane, working at the muscle layer where lasting correction happens.
Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty
Treats under-eye bags at their source, the bulging fat is removed or repositioned, and loose skin is addressed, for a rested look that creams and concealer never deliver.
Fat Grafting
Restores the volume faces lose with age using your own tissue, a natural, long-lasting alternative or complement to fillers, and a frequent partner to lifting procedures.
Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty
Removes the heavy, hooded skin that makes eyes look tired or smaller, a 45-to-60-minute procedure with about a week of recovery, and one of the highest-satisfaction surgeries we perform.
Lip Lift
Shortens a long upper lip and reveals more of your own lip, no filler required. Central and corner lift approaches, outpatient under local anesthesia with little downtime.
Otoplasty (Ear Repair)
Torn earlobe repair, gauge reconstruction, ear reshaping, and reconstruction after skin cancer, in-office under local anesthesia, usually simpler than patients expect.
Brow Lift
Elevates sagging brows and smooths forehead lines with four techniques, endoscopic, temporal, coronal, and hairline, matched to your anatomy for long-lasting structural correction.
Cosmetic Mole Removal
Removal of benign moles for appearance, surgical or shave technique, with the final cosmetic result in mind. Removal for cosmetic reasons isn’t covered by insurance.
One Surgeon, From Consultation to Reconstruction
Every cosmetic procedure here is performed by Dr. Brandon T. Beal, double board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery, and fellowship-trained in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery at Zitelli & Brodland, one of the nation’s leading programs. His daily surgical work is rebuilding faces after skin cancer removal: eyelids, lips, ears, noses, restoring natural form and function millimeters at a time. Cosmetic surgery draws on exactly that anatomic depth, applied with a conservative philosophy whose goal is always the same: a rested, natural version of you, not a different person.
Combining Procedures
Facial aging rarely happens in one place, tissue descends and volume deflates together. That’s why a facelift and neck lift are so often planned as one surgery, why fat grafting pairs with lifting, and why upper and lower eyelids are frequently treated in a single session with one recovery. Dr. Beal will tell you honestly whether combining makes sense for your goals, or whether one procedure, or a non-surgical approach, is the right scope.
Straight Answers on Cost
Cosmetic procedures aren’t covered by insurance, with limited exceptions for functional and reconstructive cases. Every procedure is quoted individually at your consultation, clear numbers before any decision, and flexible financing options are available.

Common questions
Cosmetic surgery FAQs.
How do I know which procedure I need?
You don’t have to, that’s what the consultation is for. Describe what bothers you when you look in the mirror, and Dr. Beal will identify what’s actually causing it (sagging tissue, volume loss, excess skin, or a combination) and which procedure addresses it. Sometimes the honest answer is a smaller procedure than you expected, or no surgery at all.
Where are procedures performed, and what anesthesia is used?
Procedures are performed in our accredited surgical facility at our Troy office. Many, including eyelid surgery, lip lifts, and ear repairs, are done under local anesthesia, which means simpler preparation and recovery. Anesthesia for your specific procedure is covered in detail at your consultation.
Does insurance ever cover cosmetic surgery?
Cosmetic procedures aren’t covered. The exceptions are functional and reconstructive cases: upper eyelid or brow surgery when sagging skin obstructs your field of vision (typically requiring visual field testing), and reconstruction after skin cancer removal. Dr. Beal will tell you honestly which category your case falls into. For cosmetic procedures, flexible financing options are available.
Will I look natural, or “done”?
The overdone look comes from treating the wrong layer or adding what never belonged. Dr. Beal’s approach works at the structural level, repositioning tissue, restoring volume where it was, removing only what’s excess, with a conservative philosophy built in his reconstructive practice, where natural is the only acceptable outcome. The goal is you, rested.
Why choose a dermatologic surgeon over a general plastic surgeon?
Dr. Beal’s practice is exclusively the face, his fellowship training and daily reconstructive work are facial plastic & reconstructive surgery, not bodies. That focus means deep familiarity with facial nerves, blood supply, and the natural lines that hide incisions. Credentials are worth verifying for any surgeon you consider; his are double board certification and fellowship training at Zitelli & Brodland.
