Double Board-Certified Mohs Surgeon & Cosmetic Dermatologist · Fellowship-Trained in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

About Dr. Beal
Dr. Brandon T. Beal is a double board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologist with advanced fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in Mohs surgery, facial plastic surgery, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, neck lifts, eyelid surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic mole removal. For patients across Troy, Lincoln County, and the greater St. Louis area, he brings nationally recognized surgical and cosmetic dermatology training closer to home.
Most people who walk through the door are carrying something: a diagnosis they were not expecting, a concern they have kept to themselves for years, or a question they were not sure who to ask. Whatever brings you here, Dr. Beal’s goal is for you to leave with answers, a clear plan, and a team that genuinely cares about you.
He believes excellent care starts with listening. Before recommending a treatment plan, he takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, expectations, lifestyle, and priorities — whether they are facing a new skin cancer diagnosis, considering cosmetic surgery, or seeking help after a prior procedure.

Nationally recognized. Right here in St. Louis.
A St. Louis native, Dr. Beal completed his undergraduate studies in business administration and finance at Saint Louis University, graduating summa cum laude, then earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he received the Distinction in Research Award.
He completed his dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Institute, one of the country’s most respected academic medical centers, followed by an elite fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Zitelli & Brodland, PC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This training gives Dr. Beal an uncommon skill set at the intersection of cancer surgery, facial plastic surgery, and reconstructive surgery, with a clinical focus centered on the face — where cancer clearance, function, and cosmetic outcome all matter.
Board certifications & professional affiliations
Advanced skin cancer surgery and facial reconstruction
Dr. Beal treats complex basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, melanomas, high-risk skin cancers, facial tumors, eyelid cancers, nasal defects, lip defects, ear defects, and challenging reconstructive problems. His goal is not only to remove skin cancer effectively, but also to help patients heal with the best possible functional and cosmetic outcome.
He understands that the emotional impact of skin cancer surgery can be significant, especially when the face is involved. His research has included work on how skin cancer surgery affects body image and quality of life, reflecting his belief that how a patient feels after surgery matters just as much as the surgical margins.
Natural facial rejuvenation, personalized to you
Dr. Beal is also highly regarded for his work in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and cosmetic dermatologic surgery, performing procedures such as blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), facelifts, neck lifts, brow lifts, laser resurfacing, cosmetic mole removal, and scar revision. His cosmetic philosophy is conservative, personalized, and natural — the goal is not to make patients look different, but to help them look refreshed, balanced, and confident. Every recommendation is based on the patient’s anatomy and goals. Results vary, and a consultation is required.

Where it started
Before becoming a physician, Dr. Beal played NCAA Division I and NJCAA baseball. That background shaped much of who he is today: disciplined, team-oriented, competitive in the best sense, and committed to continuous improvement. After an injury changed his athletic path, he brought that same work ethic into academics, business, medicine, surgery, and patient care.
He sees it as a privilege to care for patients, improve their quality of life, and help them through meaningful, sometimes life-changing moments — treating each patient as a person, not a procedure. Outside of medicine, Dr. Beal enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, surfing, traveling, listening to live music, and reading, with interests in leadership, stoic philosophy, parenting, and personal growth.
