Wow! Dr. Beal and his team are amazing! I had a lot done including upper Bleph, rinophyma treatment, co2 laser full face and some minor fillers. I’m 57 and I had the procedures done four months ago. It was important to me to look natural. He listened and friends and family say I look so young and rested! His upper bleph work and rinophyma was artistry! My results were better than I ever anticipated. The team there worked with my schedule for my follow up appointments because I traveled from out of state to have the procedures with Dr. Beal. I would give a 10 Star review, if I could.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for leaving us a stellar review!
Dr. Swofford is very friendly, thorough, professional, and kind. I feel comfortable pointing out my skin concerns because Dr. Swofford never makes me feel stupid. The office staff is friendly and welcoming. The facility is clean and comfortable.
Response from the owner:Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!
This is one of the best Dermatologist buildings around here in Troy. I don't have to travel very far and the staff as well as the doctors are the most considerate and very polite. I would recommend any one to go here if they have any problems with their body according to cancer or any other problems with their body. They get you in and out as soon as they can! I just can't say enough of how proud I am that I decided to go to them.
Response from the owner:Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!

Response from the owner:Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!
What is Acne?
Acne is a common skin condition. Most people will have acne at some point in their lives. While acne is often associated with adolescence, many adults also experience it.
Acne occurs when pores in the skin become blocked. Typically, pores become blocked by overproduction of sebum from the sebaceous glands. Blocked pores cause whiteheads or blackheads to form. If the blocked pore becomes inflamed, pimples, deeper nodules, and cysts can also form.
Acne ranges from mild (only a few pimples) to severe (painful nodules and cysts). In cases of moderate to severe acne, scarring can occur. It is important to treat acne early to prevent potential scarring.
What Causes Acne?
Hormonal changes cause the body to produce more sebum, oil, and fatty acids in the skin’s hair follicles. Common causes of hormonal fluctuations include puberty, use of hormonal birth control, anabolic steroid use, or stress.
Bacteria can grow in blocked hair follicles, causing inflammation. Inflamed glands can form pustules, nodules, and cysts.
Irritants, such as picking at existing acne or wearing headgear, hats, or helmets, can irritate the skin, causing further inflammation and worsening acne.
Environmental factors, such as high humidity or air pollution, can contribute to acne.
Products: Glycemic/oily lotions or certain hair products, such as pomades or waxes, can block pores and cause acne.
