The cheeks are the scaffolding of the midface. When they’re full and well-positioned, the whole face looks lifted and rested; when they flatten with age, the face can look tired and the lines around the mouth deepen. Types of Cheek Filler

Hyaluronic acid (Juvederm, Restylane)
The most common choice. HA fillers give immediate volume and a natural feel, and because the body recognizes the material, they can be adjusted or dissolved if needed. In the cheeks, the firmer HA formulations provide good lift and often last around 12 to 24 months, depending on the product and the individual.
Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite)
A thicker filler that provides strong structural support and also stimulates your own collagen over time. It’s well suited to restoring fullness in deeper areas of the midface, and typically lasts around 12 months.
Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid)
Rather than filling directly, Sculptra stimulates gradual collagen production, so results build subtly over several weeks and a series of sessions. It’s a good option for restoring volume across the face in a very natural, gradual way, and results can last up to about two years.

Is Cheek Filler Safe?
Filler is among the most common aesthetic treatments, and serious complications are uncommon when treatment is provided by a qualified, exceptional injector who understands midface anatomy and the vessels in the area. As with any injection, there are some risks your provider will review with you candidly.
- Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising, usually short-lived
- Temporary lumpiness or asymmetry as filler settles
- Less common issues such as nodules or infection

Will cheek filler help my smile lines?
